Example for the new Export to CSV/Excel Feature

An example on what you can do with the new Export to CSV/Excel feature of the Map Manager:
Excel File of Roma-Genua Flight Log

After importing the CSV-File into Excel it is possible to create some graphs quite easily:

Re: Example for the new Export to CSV/Excel Feature

I just noticed that the charts were not displayed in Internet Explorer.
This has been corrected.

It's also easy to derive an acceleration graph from the CSV data.
The following graphs originate from testing the engine of a small car (Opel Astra 1.7CDTI 77kW/100PS):

I see from your example of the car test you have an acceleration graph, how can i do that? when i export my logs to csv i dont have any acceleration data.

Re: Example for the new Export to CSV/Excel Feature

Speed = m/s
Acceleration = m/s/s

or in other words acceleration = change in speed/change in time

So, to summarise - change in speed is how many metres you are travelling per second and acceleration is a measure of how many metres per second your speed has changed per second.

Hope this clears it up for you? smile

Oops, did I forget to mention my Physics teacher took an overdose the year I left school?

Well, for me not really ;-)

Time seems in minutes in the csv files... how to get seconds-level graphs then?

Maybe Stefan can attach the excel file for that car acceleration graph too?

Thanks!

By default Excel will only show time in HH:MM format. You need to edit the number format to HH:MM:SS
