With the new calibration system, importing maps from Google Earth (GE) is quite easy and flexible.
A step by step tutorial which shows you how to do this is available at the following address:

Additional Tip: Removing the Lat/Lon grid in the calibrated map
The Lat/Lon Grid is usefull for calibration but may be disturbing or simply unwantend.
To get rid of the Grid in after finishing the calibration process close the map in Map Manager (Ctrl+C), deactivate the grid in Google Earth (Ctrl+L) and re-save the view as image under the same name (Ctrl+S).
You just have to make sure that you do not change your view in Google Earth when doing this.

I wanted to copy bigger (than 1024x1024) images from earth.google and found a link to
http://www.norberthein.de/navigation/naviidx.htm
As I understood the description, this software schould be able to stich hardcopies together automaticly.
(and also callibrate it?)
In my first attemt, I could not figure out how to do it, but IŽll try again later.

I have contacted the developer, maybe he can update the export to GPSdash feature as the new calibration system takes into account more than two reference points.
However, GPSdash2 will support the Ozi Explorer format very soon.

How does Auto select map work? If we are moving from one map area to another, will GPSdash select the map for that another area auotmatically provided that both maps are available in the maps folder?
